As we mentioned briefly in our blog regarding the new Digital Key technology Hyundai is working on, it will first be available in the 2020 Hyundai Sonata. Said vehicle will be redesigned as it enters its eighth generation, and the all-new Sonata will be making its debut already next month at the New York International Auto Show. Little information is known at this point, but we expect the Sonata to have a fall release date, arriving at dealerships sometime a few months from now!

“Sonata celebrates [its] innovative coupe-like silhouette. A short overhang, sloping roofline and low deck lid create a balanced feel, and Hyundai’s signature chrome accent now goes all the way into the hood, making it look even longer. It also has LED lighting built in. These cues bring the Sensuous Sportiness design to life.”

New Design Elements
We know very little about the new Hyundai Sonata, but the company did give us an early glimpse of the vehicle with a pair of images and described some things we have to look forward to. One of the things we’re most excited about is the new headlight system. Featuring Daytime Running Lights set within Hidden Lighting Lamps, the headlights will appear to just be some sort of chrome panel where the lamps should be until turned on when they become dramatically illuminated.
Additionally, the all-new Sonata will be a bit shorter than previous iterations but wider and longer as a whole, including an extended wheelbase over the current generation. The interior has been redesigned as well to offer extra space for passengers and cargo alike. We cannot wait to learn more about the all-new 2020 Hyundai Sonata and will be sure to fill you in right here on our blog as soon as more information becomes available.
