Last week we took a look at some of the design changes that the engineers made to the exterior of the all-new, next-generation 2021 Hyundai Elantra. Today, we figured we’d highlight some of the design changes to the interior to complete the picture of the new compact sedan. Engineers have dubbed the cabin as an “immersive cocoon,” which should give you a pretty good idea of what their priorities were when designing the interior, which presents the feeling of an airplane cockpit to the driver.

Highlighted Design Cues
A lot has changed in the cabin to give the 2021 Elantra that new cocoon-like interior. Below are just a few of the highlights that we’re stoked about:
- 10.25” information display in the instrument cluster
- 10.25” infotainment system
- Slim, high-tech air vents
- Customizable mood lighting system, featuring 64 colors
- Unique passenger grab handle designed for cornering
- Elevated center console
- Long, low center door trim
- Sporty, low-placed handles
- Two-toned mélange fabric
Hyundai also proved their prowess in interior packaging with the all-new 2021 Elantra, even delivering best-in-class rear legroom. Check out the table below for all the details on how things have changed year-over-year.
