2021 Hyundai Tucson Rumors & Speculation

Back in 2004, the Hyundai brand introduced its second crossover ever. Following the Santa Fe, the Tucson slated right into the compact crossover segment and helped to begin building the incredible utility vehicle lineup the brand offers today. In 2015, the model kicked off its third generation, which was just refreshed last year in 2019. Six years later, which is the same amount of time the second generation lasted, it seems like Hyundai is propelling the Tucson into the future by introducing its fourth generation in the 2021 model year.

While everything is rumors & speculation at this point, plenty of publications around the web have shared spy photos that certainly make it a compelling line of thought. Let’s take a look at some of the facts and opinions that are circulating the internet to figure out what might be coming next year!

What do we know so far?

In interviews, a company executive has mentioned that the biggest change for the vehicle is going to be its style, which means we can expect some pretty drastic changes. Naturally, specifics are still up in the air. These things won’t be announced or likely even rumored about until things become more concrete and official, but we can at least expect things like power and efficiency to improve slightly, as is the trend.

Looking at some of the spy photos, the next-generation Tucson will likely have a wider and shorter grille, similar to some of the other new and redesigned crossovers on the lineup but forging its own path as well. We most likely won’t learn anything more until the vehicle makes its debut, which is slated to happen sometime in 2020. Perhaps the North American International Auto Show? We’ll be sure to keep you posted as we learn more.
