The Hyundai Motor Group is no stranger to imagining or building technologies outside of just their automobiles. The company is working hard to become a full mobility company, expanding well beyond the purview of just an automaker. In an effort to create a contact-free shopping experience in their dealers’ showrooms, Hyundai has just kicked off the pilot program of a new AI robot called DAL-e, about which we’re absolutely stoked.

While this news story might not have much of an effect on us directly, we wanted to cover it because of what it means for the future of the Hyundai brand and, perhaps, the automotive industry as a whole. Fuel Cell technology has been rather elusive, despite so many brands working on it to some degree over the past several years. Hyundai has now put an actual fuel cell heavy-duty truck on roads for commercial use, with the first 10 units of the XCIENT Fuel Cell being shipped to Switzerland currently.

If you’ve read some of our blogs in the past, you might already be aware that the Hyundai Motor Company is much more than just an automaker. They are working hard to revolutionize not only the auto industry but technology as a whole, with all sorts of initiatives from robotics to aircraft, all with a similar focus on mobility. Earlier this year at CES 2020, Hyundai revealed their initiative to design a Smart Mobility Ecosystem, and now we’ll be sharing what exactly that looks like with the pictures and video below.

Hyundai has its hands in all different sorts of cookie jars these days, and it’s working with a host of different companies to develop, enhance and perfect all kinds of technologies. Most recently, the company announced, in conjunction with Kia Motors Corporation, the development of the world’s very first predictive Information and Communication Technology Connected Shift System.
