What’s new in the 2022 Tucson?

As the Tucson enters its fourth generation since inception, it does so as the brand’s best-selling model globally and looks to just build on the reputation it has already built for itself. For the first time, it will be available on either a short or long wheelbase to meet increased needs and desires of customers like you. Besides this, the biggest and most noticeable change for the next-generation model is, of course, its exterior design. You can tell from a simple glance at the photos on this page how different the Tucson is, as it adopts a ‘parametric dynamics’ design philosophy.

The Tucson will also feature a new powertrain in addition to its 2.5L 4-cylinder, which can generate 187 horsepower alongside 182 pound-feet of torque, it will also offer a 1.6L turbocharged hybrid powertrain! That’s right, the Tucson is not only the latest in the Hyundai utility vehicle revolution, but among the first of its major electrification plans. This new hybrid option will be able to generate a combined 227 horsepower alongside 258 pound-feet of combined torque.
