The 2020 model year has been an exciting one for the Hyundai brand, but we’ve surely put news for the year behind us and have moved onto 2021 by now, right? Wrong. Earlier this week, Hyundai unveiled an enhanced 2020 Veloster N, now including a few new and updated features that we’re pretty excited about. We thought we’d highlight these changes for you today!

“Veloster N demonstrates Hyundai’s approach to high-performance cars. By equipping Veloster N with N DCT, drivers get performance and convenience at the same time. Anyone who wants a fun driving experience will jump at the chance to pilot the new Veloster N – an everyday sports car with racetrack capabilities.”

What is the N DCT?
The big enhancement coming to the 2020 Hyundai Veloster N is the all-new N 8-speed wet dual-clutch transmission (referred to as N DCT). The brand’s engineers designed the new transmission system to deliver the convenience of an automatic but the fun-to-drive experience of a manual, and the finished product promises just that. It’s even enhanced the Veloster N model’s 0-100 km/h (the metric version of 0-60 mph, though off by roughly 2 mph) to 5.6 seconds. The new transmission delivers a more enjoyable experience behind the wheel in addition to enhanced ride comfort and fuel efficiency.
Other New Features
In addition to the N DCT, Hyundai has also added N Light Sports Bucket Seats to the cabin, which are sporty bucket seats that feature an illuminated logo, enhancing the interior ambiance of the cabin. We’re stoked about these upgrades and can’t wait to see the continued success of the Hyundai N Division.
