We’ve already covered a few of the great awards that Hyundai vehicles have earned this year, but as auto show season kicks into high gear, so too does award season. So, Hyundai vehicles have received a host of other awards over the past couple of months that we haven’t yet touched on. We figured we’d just highlight all of the really exciting ones that have already been announced for you today!
Wards 10 Best Engines and Propulsion Systems
Obviously, there are only 10 available slots in this prestigious series of awards from Wards. For the second year in a row, Hyundai has claimed two of them. The Smartstream 1.6L turbocharged engine found in the all-new Sonata took one of them, while the other slot was once again claimed by the Kona Electric powertrain.
Best 2-Row SUV for the Money
U.S. News & World Report highlights a host of vehicles in their annual awards throughout a number of segments and categories. This year, 14 different classes were covered in their Best Car for the Money Awards, including an award for Best 2-Row SUV for the Money. This recognition went to the 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe.
2020 Best Auto Tech Award
Kelley Blue Book handed out a 2020 Best Auto Tech Award this year to recognize a vehicle that offers some of the best in-vehicle technology at a reasonable price for customers. This year, the award went to the 2020 Hyundai Sonata.
Best Value in America
Vincentric is a company that specializes in automotive cost of ownership, and each year they release a series of Best Value in America awards. The subcompact segment’s award once again went o the Hyundai Accent this year.
Redesign of the Year
ALG recognizes a redesigned vehicle each year, and this year its award went to the 2020 Hyundai Sonata. The company recognized the vehicle based on the entirety of its redesign, including just how much has changed and how well those changes were executed.
2020 MotorWeek Drivers’ Choice Awards
For nearly 40 years, MotorWeek has been handing out Drivers’ Choice Awards year after year, and this year a Hyundai vehicle was recognized in both the Best Family Sedan and the Best Large Utility categories. For the former, the 2020 Hyundai Sonata was recognized, while the 2020 Hyundai Palisade shared the latter honor with the Kia Telluride.
2020 Kelley Blue Book 5-Year Cost to Own Awards
Finally, Kelley Blue Book recently released its full list of 5-Year Cost to Own Awards. The compact car, mid-size 2-row crossover and subcompact crossover segments were won by Hyundai vehicles, claimed by the 2020 Elantra, Santa Fe and Venue respectively.
