Hyundai Models Earn Top Spots Among “Greenest Vehicles” List

Which Hyundai is the Most Eco-Friendly?

The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy has named the 2019 Hyundai Ioniq Electric, 2019 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid Blue, and 2019 Hyundai Kona Electric to its “Greenest Vehicles of 2019” list. Only 10 vehicles make their way onto the ACEEE list each year and these three Hyundai models have taken top rankings. Three Hyundai Vehicles Named to “Greenest Vehicles” List

For this year’s ACEEE list, the 2019 Ioniq Electric earned the top spot among the rankings with its Green Score of 67. The Ioniq Electric was followed by the Hybrid Blue in second with a Green Score of 65 and the Hyundai Kona Electric earned a score of 63. To gain their scores, the contenders are scored from a life-cycle analysis perspective, taking into consideration the vehicle’s emissions, manufacturing, as well as how much of the vehicle can eventually be recycled.

The 2019 Hyundai Kona Electric offers drivers an EPA-estimated 258-mile driving range and 120 MPGe while producing zero emissions. Drivers will get an all-electric driving range of 124 miles and an EPA-estimated 136 MPGe with one charge in the 2019 Hyundai Ioniq Electric, letting you tackle all of your day-to-day needs with ease. The 2019 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid Blue offers drivers an EPA-estimated 57 city/59 highway MPG with a fuel tank capacity of 11.9 gallons. This combination gives Ioniq Hybrid Blue drivers a driving range of 678.3 city miles – 702.1 highway miles.
