2018 Hyundai Tucson vs 2018 Kia Sportage
Perhaps one of the most recognizable vehicles on the Hyundai lineup, the Tucson has been turning heads in the compact crossover market since the 2005 model year. Now firmly in its third generation, the Tucson continues to make waves against a ton of great competitors. We realize how difficult it can be to come to a decision when purchasing a new car, even if you have it narrowed down to a segment. So, we thought we’d help out with a comparison that shows how the Tucson measures up to one of its biggest competitors, by pitting the 2018 Hyundai Tucson vs 2018 Kia Sportage.

|26 mpg||Combined Fuel Efficiency||26 mpg|
|164 HP||Horsepower||181 HP|
|31.0 cu. ft.||Cargo Capacity||30.7 cu. ft.|
Advantages of the 2018 Tucson
Unfortunately, this comparison is a difficult one as the two crossovers are extremely comparable to one another. For instance, the first row of the table above – which looks at a few of the most important specifications to consider when shopping for a new crossover – looks at each crossover’s combined fuel efficiency ratings, and they’re evenly matched at 26 miles per gallon.
Then the second row show something even more unfortunate, as the Sportage offers an extra 17 horsepower. 17 HP isn’t a huge different, but it is certainly enough to deliver a slightly more enjoyable driving experience in some conditions. However, the Tucson does offer a slight advantage of its own in the third row, offering a bit of extra space to fit groceries or whatever cargo you need to bring along on the road with you.
This comparison is mostly going to come down to a battle of style and features. We, of course, think the Tucson offers a more aesthetically pleasing exterior. If you agree, come check out all of the features that the compact crossover has to offer for yourself, and we’ll get you behind the wheel of a 2018 Hyundai Tucson of your own!
