2019 Hyundai Ioniq Cocoa FL

One of the youngest vehicles on the lineup, the Ioniq Hybrid has been turning heads left and right since the 2017 model year. While it wasn’t the first hybrid vehicle to be offered by Hyundai, it was the first vehicle to dedicated itself entirely to that focus. In contrast, the Sonata Hybrid was just a hybridization of the iconic Hyundai Sonata. The Ioniq was built only to be a hybrid vehicle, with the option of adding electric and plug-in variations down the line (which they have). Now, the 2019 Hyundai Ioniq in Cocoa FL remains a strong force in the compact hybrid sedan segment. Did you know that the Hyundai Ioniq actually shares the same powertrain as the record-breaking Kia Niro? Kia and Hyundai have had a working relationship for quite some time, and this powertrain is just one example of the fruits of that partnership.

Specs & Features of the 2019 Ioniq

The thing that makes the Hyundai Ioniq so exciting is obviously that powertrain about which we were just talking. Tethering together a 1.6L 4-cylinder engine and an Interior-Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor, the Ioniq is able to generate a net 139 horsepower while achieving an astounding 58 miles per gallon combined fuel economy rating. The efficiency drops a bit in higher trim levels to 55 mpg combined, but even that is incredible in its own right. For the 2019 model year, not much has changed. But we thought we’d go through the few new things that there are. Driver Attention Warning and High Beam Assist were not available last year, but they are available this year. The SEL trim level now offers the Autonomous Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection system, as well as Lane Keep Assist, Smart Cruise Control and Driver Attention Warning, as does the Limited trim level. Finally, the Technology Package is no longer available on the SEL trim level as its contents have been made standard on the regular SEL grade.
