Last year saw the redesign of many vehicles on the lineup, including the Sonata Hybrid. While it wasn’t a total redesign (that will likely be happening next year in 2020, is our guess), there were plenty of enhancements made to increase the value of the vehicle, and those changes continue to make the 2019 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid in Cocoa FL an excellent hybrid sedan option here in the area.
The Hyundai Sonata has been a vehicle since 1985, making it one of the oldest vehicles on the Hyundai lineup. The Sonata Hybrid, however, wasn’t introduced until the 2011 model year, during the sixth generation of the vehicle. It has come a long way since then and we see a bright future for it moving forward, as one of the most exciting hybrid vehicles on the market.
Despite the fact that the 2019 Sonata Hybrid is a carryover, there were a few changes made to the model for the new model year. Namely, four great technologies were made standard on the Limited trim level. Those features include Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping Assist, Smart Cruise Control with start/stop technology and the Electronic Parking Brake with auto vehicle hold. These technologies coming standard in the Limited trim level increases the value of that model ten-fold, and we’re stoked about it!
Regardless of trim level, the Sonata Hybrid is powered by a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine tethered to the hybrid powertrain and a 6-speed automatic transmission. A host of great technologies and features are included in the vehicle, with everything from Blind Spot Detection to a panoramic sunroof and everything in between them.
