2020 Hyundai Palisade vs 2020 Nissan Murano

Until the Venue is officially released next year, the Hyundai Palisade is the newest addition to the lineup, and we’re stoked about it. The 3-row midsize crossover is a force to be reckoned with, providing a sophisticated style, plenty of space and everything shoppers have come to expect from a crossover utility vehicle. Today we wanted to take a look at how exactly this new beast measures up to one of its competitors, so we decided to pit the 2020 Hyundai Palisade vs 2020 Nissan Murano. This is the first version of the Palisade as it’s a brand-new model. The Murano, on the other hand, has been around for quite some time. It was first introduced for the 2003 model year and somewhat recently entered its third generation back in 2015. Check out the table below to see how the two SUVs fare against one another side-by-side.

Advantages of the 2020 Palisade

As you can tell, these two crossovers are quite similar to one another, but each has its advantages – the Palisade more than the Murano. Kicking thigs off in the first row of the table, the Palisade delivers an extra 31 horsepower. That’s not a massive difference but it is a pretty sizeable advantage. The Murano does fire back with an advantage of its own in the second row, but 1 mile per gallon combined hardly makes up for all of that extra power. The third row looks at cargo capacity, of which the Palisade certainly offers more when the seats are flat. Folding back seats opens up 67 cubic feet of space in the Murano, but the Palisade offers nearly a full 20 cu. ft. more. However, not pictured in the graph is that the Murano does offer more space behind the back rows without any seats folded. The Palisade only has 18 cu. ft. behind its back row while the Murano offers 32.1 cu. ft. Although, that’s due to the Palisade offering an entire extra row of seats, as depicted by its 3 extra seating in the final row of the table. If you can overlook the negligible fuel efficiency deficit for all of the Palisade’s advantages, be sure to get in touch with us right here at Cocoa Hyundai today!
