One of the most exciting things to happen to the Hyundai lineup last year was the introduction of the Hyundai Ioniq. Hybrid technology could already be found on the Hyundai lineup, but not like the Ioniq has introduced. For the 2018 model year, the Ioniq platform will offer three entirely different low-to-zero emission vehicles, including of course the 2018 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid in Cocoa Beach FL. While we’re excited about the brand-new Plug-in Hybrid model, the regular Hybrid is still extremely exciting and has already added a few subtle enhancements.
In the 2017 Ioniq Hybrid, paddle shifters were not included. For 2018, Hyundai has made paddle shifters available on the Ioniq Hybrid model which will add an extra level of enjoyment to the driving experience. Additionally, while the 2017 Ioniq Hybrid only offered Lane Departure Warning, the 2018 model will add Lane Keep Assist function to round out the Lane Keep Assist System.
But let’s dive into the specs that everyone is interested in when it comes to an incredibly efficient vehicle like the 2018 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid. Beneath the hood of the vehicle rests a 1.6L 4-cylinder engine capable of doling out 104 horsepower. While it might not offer the best in performance, it more than makes up for it in just how efficient it is. The Ioniq Hybrid Blue will give drivers 59 miles per gallon on the highway and 57 mpg through the city. Increase to the higher trim levels and it only drops down to 54/55 mpg respectively.
This only covers the fuel efficiency ratings and subtle changes that have occurred in the 2018 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid. There is still plenty more found in the vehicle that makes it a viable option for any type of drive interested in the hybrid marketplace.
