While the Hyundai lineup seems to be going through somewhat of a utility-vehicle renaissance right now, one vehicle that has stood the test of time for the young brand is the Hyundai Tucson. First introduced back in the 2005 model year, it has undergone two generational shifts, and shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. The only utility vehicle that has been around longer is the Hyundai Santa Fe, which was the brand’s first SUV just four years earlier. Now, for the new model year, the 2019 Hyundai Tucson has undergone a refresh to offer even more value to its customers.
The refresh is inline with that renaissance we mentioned, receiving several design changes on both the inside and outside to keep things fresh and forward thinking. The design cues were joined by a host of new and expanded features, among which safety certainly played a large part.
The Tucson offers two different engine options, the first being a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine that generates 164 horsepower alongside 151 pound-feet of torque. The second is a 2.4L 4-cylinder that generates an increased 181 horsepower alongside 175 pound-feet of torque. The smaller engine is found on the lower trim levels while the larger is found on the higher grades. Both are quite efficient thanks to the technologies employed within their powertrains.
As for those technology features we mentioned, the Tucson comes standard with both Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist and Lane Keeping Assist. In addition to these technologies you can opt for Pedestrian Detection, High Beam Assist, Surround View Monitor and Driver Attention Warning, all of which deliver a greater sense of confidence each time you slide behind the wheel. These specs & features are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the all-new 2019 Hyundai Tucson, but you can find out much more on our blog or by giving us a call here at the sales desk.
